Our double-sided fans are made with two separate fabric layers—one for the front and one for the back—each attached to a single set of ribs. These layers are not connected to each other, only to the ribs.
Because there's double the fabric, the fan will feel thicker, slightly heavier, and bulkier than our standard single-sided fans. This is completely normal and part of the double-sided design.

Express – 20 Days
For faster turnaround, select express production, and your fan(s) will be produced and shipped within 20 days. -

This option does not include any physical product / fan that is shipped to you—it’s a tool for you to design and submit your unique concept. Any fees paid for submitting artwork is non-refundable, as it covers the initial setup for reviewing your design.

Once production is completed, we require an additional 2–3 business days to prepare your order for shipment. These time frames are subject to change at any time. For International Orders please allow extra time for shipping and customs processing.

We typically need 2–3 business days to pack and ship most in-stock items. If your order includes any custom or made-to-order pieces — like our custom fans or handmade harnesses — they’ll take a bit longer. Production timelines are listed on each product page.
If you ordered a mix of in-stock and custom items, we’ll ship everything together once it’s all ready. If there are any delays or we need to split the shipment, we’ll reach out.
Please note: Shipping times can vary depending on the carrier, and we do not guarantee any packing or delivery timeframes. Shipping timelines begin after production and processing. International orders may be subject to customs fees or delays beyond our control.

We want you to love what you ordered — but because many of our products are made-to-order, not everything is eligible for return.
All harnesses and any items that are not kept in stock or are made on demand are considered custom and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Returns on in-stock, non-custom items may be approved on a case-by-case basis, and a restocking fee may apply. Please contact us before submitting any return request.

How Do I Design My Own Clack Fan?
Use our free interactive online design app to personalize your fan with full-color photos, logos, custom text, and original artwork. If you are a designer, download our templates to create your artwork at the correct size, then upload your finished design or email it to daft@daftboy.com. Need design help? Our design service team is here to bring your vision to life.
Do I Need Design Skills To Make A Custom Fan?
No. Our free online design app lets anyone make a custom fan in minutes. Just upload your photo, logo, or artwork and customize directly in the app. For best print quality, use high-resolution images. Quick check: zoom in on your design in the app. If it looks blurry zoomed in, the print will too.
Can I Upload My Own Designed Artwork?
Yes. Designers can download our templates at daftboy.com/templates and upload finished artwork as PNG, JPG, or PDF at 300 DPI minimum, sized for a 13 inch closed, 24.5 inch open fan. CMYK is preferred for accurate color, but RGB will be converted. Transparent backgrounds are supported.
Will I See A Proof Before My Clack Fan Is Printed?
The interactive design app shows your fan in real time as you customize it, including a final preview before checkout. For complex orders or design service work, the team can also provide a digital proof for approval before production starts. To request a digital proof, email daft@daftboy.com with your order number.
Will The Printed Colors Match My Screen?
Close, but not exact. Screens use RGB and fabric printing uses CMYK, so highly saturated colors, neons, and pure blacks can shift slightly. For exact brand colors, include a Pantone reference with your file or contact daft@daftboy.com.
What Is The Difference Between Single-Sided And Double-Sided Custom Fans?
Single-sided custom fans print your design on one face and show bamboo on the back. Double-sided fans use two separate fabric layers attached to one set of ribs, so each side prints independently and you can have a different design on each side. Double-sided fans feel more substantial in the hand and look fully finished from every angle.
What Are Custom Fans Made Of?
Daftboy custom Clack Fans use real bamboo ribs finished with non-toxic lacquers, a polyester fabric panel for printing, and a metal rivet at the pivot. Rib colors are black, red, or natural bamboo.
How Long Does It Take To Make A Custom Clack Fan?
Daftboy custom fans ship in 15 to 20 business days with Standard production, or 10 to 14 business days with Express. Production times do not include shipping, and production starts the first business day after your order is placed. If you need faster turnaround than 10 business days, email daft@daftboy.com directly. We can often accommodate with Rush or Ultra Rush production pricing plus expedited 2-day or faster shipping to ensure on-time delivery.
Where Does My Clack Fan Ship From?
Every Daftboy custom order is handmade in our Oakland, California studio and ships from there directly to you via USPS or UPS depending on size and destination.
Can I Rush My Custom Clack Fan Order?
Yes. Daftboy offers Express production that ships in 10 to 14 business days, compared to 15 to 20 business days for Standard. Select Express at checkout when you customize your fan.
What Is The Minimum Order For A Custom Clack Fan?
There is no minimum. You can order a single custom fan from Daftboy, or scale up with bulk discounts that kick in at 10, 25, 50, 100, 300, and 500+ units.
Can I Buy Custom Fans In Bulk?
Yes. Save up to 70% on bulk custom bamboo fans for your business or upcoming event, with the ability to personalize every detail including the design and handle. Bulk pricing starts at 10 units, with discount tiers at 25, 50, 100, 300, and 500+. Both single-sided and double-sided fans are available in bulk. For quantities above 500 or rush production, email daft@daftboy.com for a custom quote.
Do Custom Fans Come With A Warranty?
Daftboy offers a 30-day window from delivery for issues like manufacturing defects, damage on arrival, or incorrect shipments. To file a claim, email daft@daftboy.com with photos and your order number within 30 days of delivery. Custom and mystery products are excluded from all warranties.
What Happens If My Fan Breaks?
Custom fans are made to order and not eligible for return, but if your Daftboy fan arrives with a defect or damage, email daft@daftboy.com with photos and the team will work with you on a fix. Most wear over time shows on the outer ribs from drops, not on the pivot itself.
