Shipping

We typically need 2–3 business days to pack and ship most in-stock items. If your order includes any custom or made-to-order pieces — like our custom fans or handmade harnesses — they’ll take a bit longer. Production timelines are listed on each product page.

If you ordered a mix of in-stock and custom items, we’ll ship everything together once it’s all ready. If there are any delays or we need to split the shipment, we’ll reach out.

Please note: Shipping times can vary depending on the carrier, and we do not guarantee any packing or delivery timeframes. Shipping timelines begin after production and processing. International orders may be subject to customs fees or delays beyond our control.

You can get a more direct shipping quote during checkout, based on your location and selected shipping method.

Returns

We want you to love what you ordered — but because many of our products are made-to-order, not everything is eligible for return.

All harnesses and any items that are not kept in stock or are made on demand are considered custom and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Returns on in-stock, non-custom items may be approved on a case-by-case basis, and a restocking fee may apply. Please contact us before submitting any return request.

FAQs

How Big Is This Fan?

Open: oversized 13 by 24.5 inches for maximum clack and airflow. Closed: 13 by 1 inch, slim enough to fit in most bags or purses.

Does This Fan Clack?

Yes. Every Daftboy fan uses real bamboo ribs with a riveted pivot, which is what produces the loud signature Thwoorp sound. The rivet keeps the snap crisp through repeated use, unlike glued or threaded pivots that loosen over time. Polyester fabric panels are full-color printed for vibrant designs.

How Fast Can I Get My Fan?

Stock fans ship quickly from our Oakland, CA studio. 🇺🇸 US Customers: USPS Ground Advantage typically delivers in 3 to 5 days after shipping. 🌎 International Customers: USPS International or UPS Worldwide depending on the option selected at checkout. 💨 Need it faster? 2-day and next-day shipping options are available at checkout.

What Is Daftboy's 30 Day Guarantee?

Every Daftboy stock fan comes with our 30 Day Guarantee covering manufacturing defects, damage on arrival, or incorrect shipments. To file a claim, email daft@daftboy.com with photos and your order number within 30 days of delivery.

Sherry is like Fine Wine

This review doesn’t do itself justice without being able to post the picture. Not sure if the site has been inundated with all my posts and photos but again I can only be honored to describe what I received. The story is touching but just to share this is a just because fan I have designed to a lady name Sherry who have literally saved me. She’s deserving! Rainbows, kittens and bubbles

I had the grand idea of making a kitty bubbles fan for my partner to have at ACL festival this year and decided last minute to execute. Daft Boy came through with great communication and an on time delivery. The fan is beautiful, quality is top notch and I think we’ll have this for far more concerts to come. Thank you 🙏

It ate

My most valuable tool at an outdoor wedding in 90° heat with 30% humidity and no breezes. Showed this fan to my best friend who went on to purchase 2 fans herself. One of my best purchases of 2025.

A Cool Breeze

I bought this to use at outdoor concerts and sports events in my hot, hot city. I was a little worried about getting it through security at venues, but it was not a problem. The fan is big but not too big. I was easily able to cool myself and a few seat mates. Got lots of good comments. I'll be buying some for family for holiday gifts.

5 Stars across the board.

5 Stars across the board. I get overheated easily and this will be handy. The only negative thing is their name in bold, but it is shown in the photo, and therefore a given. I will figure out how to disguise it. I would definitely buy another one. Thank you.
