How To Keep Your Strap Clean:
-
Bag It: Carefully place your Harness, Cuff, Key Clip, or Polyester Strap in our Mesh Laundry Bag and zip to secure. Place bag in your washing machine with other like-colored items.
-
Gentle Cycle: Select the Gentle Cycle on your washing machine sometimes called: Delicate/Synthetic settings. We also recommend selecting No Spin Cycle to protect the machine and metal parts of any harness.
-
Cold Wash: Select Cold Wash and start the wash! DO NOT USE HOT WATER as this can damage your strap. We suggest using no detergent or a very gentle laundry detergent.
-
Lay Dry: Once your washer is done clean lay your harness flat to dry. Keep it away from direct sunlight, radiators, flames, etc.
-
Next Party. Once dry to the touch your harness is ready for the Next Party! 🎉
Other Suggestions / Pre-Treatment:
Deeper Dirt and Stains can get caught in the woven threads of the strap. For these types of stains, we suggest pre-treating by soaking the Harness, Cuff, Key Clip, or Polyester Strap in cold water or with an added gentle stain remover such as:
- OxiClean
- Napisan
- Baking soda and water paste
After soaking for an hour or two can also gently scrub using a soft-bristle toothbrush to try and ensure that the stain remover can reach the stains deep in the fibers.
Apply a stain remover of your choice. If the remover is a powder, apply it and work it into the fibers with the soft-bristle toothbrush. If the stain remover is a liquid, place it in a bowl and allow the straps to soak. Stronger removers such as OxiClean should be heavily diluted with water.
When the stains are removed, follow our normal suggested use for our Laundry Bag as stated above.
